Soccer Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lexington can now relate to. They lost 5-0 to the Newton-Conover Red Devils on Tuesday. Lexington were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the four matchups prior), but Newton-Conover's defense proved too tough.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 11-9-2. As for Newton-Conover, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5-3.

Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton-Conover, they will face off against North Surry on Thursday. North Surry will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Newton-Conover surely won't give up without a fight.
