Hozho Academy had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Keihin Kirk and Adrian Ternes were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Kirk struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Ternes tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Kirk went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Ternes got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Philip Elkins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Bowannie, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Hozho Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
