Basketball Game Preview: Stanley-Boyd Orioles vs. Bloomer Blackhawks

The Stanley-Boyd Orioles are taking a road trip to face off against the Bloomer Blackhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Stanley-Boyd turned things around against Cadott on Tuesday. They took down the Hornets 68-51. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Hornets are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bloomer didn't have too much breathing room in their match against McDonell Central on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 51-47 win.

Stanley-Boyd's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. As for Bloomer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Stanley-Boyd ended up a good deal behind Bloomer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 81-66. Can Stanley-Boyd avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
