Volleyball Recap: West Platte Takes a Loss

West Platte managed to slip by Rock Port the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bluejays lost 3-0 to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.

Catelyn Carlson paced West Platte's offense, picking up eight kills. Carlson got some help from Amber Rutherford and her 18 assists.

West Platte has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14-2 record this season. As for Rock Port, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. West Platte will face off against Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Port, they will take on North Nodaway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
