Jefferson had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Dayton Pirates as they made off with a 60-35 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Dayton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Taft the next time they take the court. Jefferson will head out to face Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Dayton will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
