Baseball Recap: Wabash Comes Up Short

Wabash extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 16-5. They came up short against the Northwestern Tigers, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Apaches have suffered since April 21, 2025.

As for Northwestern, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

For Northwestern's part, the team relied heavily on Brayden Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Jaxson Trueblood also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wabash will head out to face off against Logansport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwestern, they will venture away from home to take on Rochester at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
