Volleyball Preview: Sotomayor WILDCATS vs. Taft Raiders
Sotomayor is 6-1 against Taft since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The WILDCATS will look to defend their home court against the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Sotomayor sitting on three straight wins and Taft on four.
Sotomayor took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Stevens, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The WILDCATS narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Falcons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the WILDCATS have posted since August 29th.
Sotomayor was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-15, 16-14.
