Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Starts off Right with Win over Delaware Christian

West Jefferson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Delaware Christian Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Roughriders, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While West Jefferson might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Delaware Christian scored at least nine points in every set they played. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9.

West Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Triad at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Delaware Christian, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
