Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Anamosa Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the River Kings have suffered since June 12, 2024.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Anamosa, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will host Davenport West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The River Kings are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Anamosa, they will welcome Xavier on Tuesday.
