Preview: Pomona Red Devils vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers
The Pomona Red Devils are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th. Pomona has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Tuesday, Pomona earned a 60-47 victory over Claremont.
Meanwhile, Western Christian ended the year with a bang, routing Sage Ridge 60-34. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-12.
Brian Wallace was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Hooper, who scored ten points.
Pomona's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Western Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Pomona lost to Western Christian on the road by a decisive 61-43 margin when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Pomona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
