Softball Recap: Compton Early College Comes Up Short

After flying high against Centennial on Thursday, Compton Early College came back down to earth. The Rising Phoenix lost 14-1 to the Lennox Academy Panthers on Tuesday. The Rising Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Compton Early College now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Lennox Academy, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Compton Early College will welcome Environmental Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lennox Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 3:30 p.m. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Aviators have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
