Basketball Recap: Claremore Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Claremore needed a changed in momentum after dropping eight straight games and they got it from Asia Roper. The Claremore Zebras were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over the Guthrie Bluejays on Friday thanks in part to Roper, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Claremore's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Toney Gibson, who posted seven points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Claremore's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for Guthrie, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Claremore has already played their next contest (against East Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Guthrie has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Shawnee.
