            The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers will hit the road for the first time this season to  challenge  the Grove City Eagles  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Grove City took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mercyhurst Prep, who comes in off a win.
Mercyhurst Prep is headed out to face Grove City after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Mercyhurst Prep was the clear victor by  a  10-0 margin over Meadville on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Hunter Krahe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Zack Kruszewski, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Noah Reigel, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Grove City came up short against Mercer on Tuesday and fell  9-5.
Grove City also got a good showing from  Jaxen Pyle, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Nolan Renick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Jack Hathaway was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
