Clinton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Hillsdale Hornets 58-44. The Redwolves haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Hillsdale lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sydney Hartzler, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (44%). Another player making a difference was Rakell Brown, who scored seven points and 13 boards.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Hillsdale, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Clinton and Hillsdale could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Clinton will face off against Columbia Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 250 places (410 vs. 160). Similarly, Hillsdale (ranked 587th) will meet Hillsdale Academy (ranked 293rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
