Basketball Recap: Beaver Dam Skates Past Mountain View Christian with Ease

Beaver Dam's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They claimed a resounding 44-17 victory over the Mountain View Christian Saints. The Diamondback have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Saints, too.

Beaver Dam can attribute much of their success to Crissy Medina, who posted 13 points. Evita Rivera was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mountain View Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariadna Carranza, who earned ten points. What's more, Carranza also racked up two boards, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Beaver Dam has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Mountain View Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Beaver Dam has already played their next contest (against Sandy Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain View Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Baptist Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
