St. Johns barely beat Mogollon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Redskins blew past the Mustangs 19-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kaylee Pulsipher was incredible, going 3-for-4 with seven stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Kelsey Scarbrough was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
St. Johns always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mogollon only posted an OBP of .300.
St. Johns is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Mogollon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Johns will challenge Round Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mogollon, they will take on Superior at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
