Basketball Recap: Thomas Academy Takes a Loss

Thomas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 52-18 loss at the hands of the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwood Temple Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Poindexter, who posted 15 points. Kyleigh Ramos was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Thomas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Thomas Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harrells Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
