Softball Recap: Poston Butte's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Poston Butte waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Paradise Honors Panthers by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by exactly three runs.

Haylee Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kimberly Westover and Brylee Litviak did most of the damage at the plate: Westover went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Litviak went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Poston Butte's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9. As for Paradise Honors, they moved to 18-8 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Poston Butte nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
