Fort Edward had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lake George Lakers by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 19-25, 25-16.

Rue Quarters paced Fort Edward's offense, picking up eight kills. Quarters got some help from Kyley Varney and her 22 assists. Elizabeth Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fort Edward's record is now 13-1. As for Lake George, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fort Edward will challenge rival Hadley Luzerne at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake George is set to face off against their familiar foe Corinth at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
