Baseball Game Preview: Ayersville Pilots vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

The Ayersville Pilots will head out to square off against the Patrick Henry Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ayersville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Ayersville's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out North Central 1-0.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry didn't have quite enough to beat North Baltimore on Tuesday and fell 5-4.

Patrick Henry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Schwab, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Jaden Bishop also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Patrick Henry has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Ayersville, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Ayersville couldn't quite get it done against Patrick Henry in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 5-2. Can the Pilots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
