Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jane Moreland and Jaliah Jackson Lead Millbrook to Victory

After losing to Handley the last time they met, Millbrook decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Millbrook Pioneers walked away with a 51-40 win over the Handley Judges on Tuesday.

Millbrook was led to victory by Jaliah Jackson and Jane Moreland. Jackson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards, while Moreland dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Jackson has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Mackenzie Jones was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds.

Millbrook's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Handley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Millbrook has already played their next contest, a 46-26 win against Liberty on the 30th. As for Handley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-38 defeat against Spring Mills on the 29th.
