Volleyball Recap: Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Comes Up Short

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the DSST: College View Wolves. The Ocelotls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART still got an impressive performance from Esmeralda Gonzalez, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for DSST: College View, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART is set to take on their familiar foe Bruce Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, DSST: College View will challenge rival KIPP Denver Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
