Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Longhorns vs. Granada Bobcats

The Springfield Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Granada Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Springfield was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Swink. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Longhorns came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Lions are ranked 208th).

Meanwhile, Granada came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-35 W against the Wolverines.

Granada's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 12-7. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Springfield strolled past Granada when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 52-35. Will Springfield repeat their success, or does Granada have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
