Basketball Recap: Walkertown's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Walkertown waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Morehead Panthers 57-36. The score was close at the half, but the Wolfpack pulled away in the second half with 39 points.

Walkertown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenan Grady out in front who went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points. The game was Grady's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Camereon Cartlidge, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Walkertown's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 34.8% in those games and 29.6% outside of them. As for Morehead, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.
