Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas faced Desert Oasis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Diamondbacks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Despite the loss, Desert Oasis still got an impressive performance from Jared Jovellanos, who had 14 digs and two assists. Jovellanos is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played. Jacob Carrasco also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
