Basketball Recap: Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind Sentinels vs. Baboquivari Warriors

Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 58-23 defeat at the hands of the Baboquivari Warriors on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baboquivari to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyler Baptisto, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 12 points and five assists. What's more, Baptisto also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was David Castro, who posted 12 points.

Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Duncan at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Baboquivari, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-50 loss against Empire on the 21st.
