Softball Recap: Glencoe Takes a Loss

Glencoe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jacksonville Golden Eagles. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Glencoe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Jacksonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Glencoe will venture away from home to take on Weaver at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Weaver is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Jacksonville, they will challenge St. Clair County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
