Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Hawks vs. Siouxland Christian Eagles

St. Mary is a perfect 6-0 against Siouxland Christian since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks take on the Eagles. St. Mary's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

St. Mary's is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Woodbury Central 103-28. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Siouxland Christian hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 65-22 win over Whiting.

St. Mary's pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points over those games. As for Siouxland Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-14.

Everything came up roses for St. Mary's against Siouxland Christian in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 65-14 victory. Does St. Mary's have another victory up their sleeve, or will Siouxland Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
