Volleyball Game Preview: Ridgewood Rebels vs. Saint Viator Lions

The Ridgewood Rebels are taking a road trip to take on the Saint Viator Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Thursday, Ridgewood came up short against Riverside-Brookfield and fell 2-0. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Ridgewood ultimately came up short, they really made Riverside-Brookfield work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saint Viator, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against St. Patrick by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Saint Viator never let St. Patrick on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19.

Ridgewood's loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Saint Viator, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-21.

Ridgewood skirted past Saint Viator 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
