Football Recap: Duval Charter Panthers vs. Bell Bulldogs
Duval Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bell Bulldogs, falling 47-27.
Landin Williams had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 282 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry for Bell. Those 282 rushing yards gave Williams a new career-high. Rj Leffler also helped out as he racked up 106 rushing yards.
Duval Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.
Coming up, Duval Charter will take on Halifax Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bell, they will challenge Interlachen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
