Basketball Game Preview: Crescent Loggers vs. Shoreline Christian Chargers

The Crescent Loggers will venture away from home to take on the Shoreline Christian Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Crescent will be strutting in after a victory while Shoreline Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Crescent is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 44-22 margin over Easton on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Loggers have posted since February 1, 2024.

Naomii Sprague continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 14 for 17 on her way to 29 points and seven steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Crescent's points. Audrey Gales was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Crescent smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Shoreline Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Grace Academy, falling 42-21.

Shoreline Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Crescent, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Crescent lost to Shoreline Christian on the road by a decisive 43-25 margin in their previous meeting back in May of 2021. Can Crescent avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
