After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six matches, Palestine finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Madisonville Mustangs. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Palestine's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Madisonville, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Coincidentally, Palestine and Madisonville will both be playing Trinity the next time they take the pitch. Palestine will host Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Madisonville will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
