Basketball Recap: Carlisle Beats Miller School of Albemarle for Their Fifth Straight Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Carlisle ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks by a score of 68-56. The victory was nothing new for the Chiefs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Carlisle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenzie Board out in front who posted 21 points. The match was Board's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'La Niblett, who had 20 points.

Carlisle's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.

Looking ahead, Carlisle and The Covenant will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Miller School of Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
