Baseball Recap: Stratford Continues Road Dominance on Friday

While Stratford's victory against Cane Bay wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Cobras 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won three in a row.

Jachin Davis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Stratford pushed their record up to 12-2-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cane Bay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Coming up, Stratford will be playing at home against Loudoun Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cane Bay, they are taking a road trip to take on Lucy Beckham at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st.
