If McMichael was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Reidsville on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phoenix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Point Red Raiders on Friday. The Phoenix's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Zoey Bradford paced McMichael's offense, picking up eight kills. Bradford really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for South Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
