Preview: Tabernacle Christian Eagles vs. Calvary Christian EAGLES
Tabernacle Christian is 0-4 against Calvary Christian since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Tabernacle Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Calvary Christian EAGLES at 7:15 p.m. on February 13th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Tabernacle Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Fishers Christian Academy at home to the tune of 69-22. Tabernacle Christian pushed the score to 62-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Fishers Christian Academy had no chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Mooresville Christian 60-58.
Calvary Christian can attribute much of their success to Josiah Obando, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Braeden Pero, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Coy, who scored eight points.
Tabernacle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Tabernacle Christian couldn't quite finish off Calvary Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 57-55. Can Tabernacle Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
