Baseball Game Preview: Dysart Demons vs. Thunderbird Titans

The Dysart Demons will face off against the Thunderbird Titans at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Dysart, who comes in off a win.

Dysart lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Glendale, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. Dysart put the hurt on Glendale with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday.

Juan Anaya and Eduardo Carranza made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Anaya tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Carranza struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. At bat, Anaya scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Carranza scored a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on John Amparan, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Roman, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Thunderbird's offense. They lost 14-0 to Cactus Shadows on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

The win got Dysart back to even at 1-1. As for Thunderbird, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
