Basketball Recap: Hamilton Falls Short Against Ranked Millennium

On Tuesday, Hamilton faced Millennium in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The matchup between the Hamilton Huskies and the Millennium Tigers didn't end well, with the Hamilton Huskies falling 67-53. The Huskies were probably out for revenge after losing 70-44 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hamilton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Millennium, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Hamilton will square off against Basha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Basha's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Millennium, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Millennium Tigers face off against the Link Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Link Academy likes a good challenge.
