Basketball Preview: Bolivar Liberators vs. Rolla Bulldogs

The Bolivar Liberators will play host again and welcome the Rolla Bulldogs, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bolivar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 14th).

Last Monday, Bolivar was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Rolla can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They breezed by Lebanon at home to the tune of 62-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rolla.

Rolla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Willow Gideon, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Gideon is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Resa Martin, who scored 13 points along with five steals.

Bolivar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Rolla, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
