Football Recap: Jackson-Olin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Fairfield last Friday, Jackson-Olin came back down to earth. The Mustangs were beaten by the Hartselle Tigers 46-8 on Friday. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-0.

Adonis Miller threw for 99 yards on eight of 24 attempts. On the ground, Kamryn Jones rushed for 67 yards and one touchdown.

Hartselle can attribute much of their success to Carter Lee, who threw for 157 yards and three TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes.

Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hartselle, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Jackson-Olin and Hartselle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Mustangs see the field they'll take on Gardendale at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Hartselle, their break will end when they face Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
