Recap: Campbell Spartans vs. Pebblebrook Falcons
The Campbell Spartans can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Pebblebrook, posting a 41-14 win on the road. This was payback for Campbell, who suffered a 41-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
Campbell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Marble out in front who threw for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Brayden Hayden and his 114 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Campbell's victory.
When it comes to explaining why Pebblebrook lost, one person who can't be blamed is Walter Willis jr. Despite the final result, he picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Campbell's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Pebblebrook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell will take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carrollton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. Pebblebrook will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on East Coweta at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
