Softball Recap: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Batavia, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Kylene Werner put in work no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Werner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Raven Horton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Gabi Koehler was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Batavia, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Coincidentally, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and Batavia will both be playing Cincinnati Christian the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
