Volleyball Recap: Sutton Find Success

Sutton won the last time they faced Exeter-Milligan/Friend and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Sutton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.

Katie Baldwin paced Sutton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Baldwin got some help from Avery Smith and her 21 assists. Kyla Griess controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Sutton's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutton will venture away from home to square off against St. Cecilia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they will head out to take on Diller-Odell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Griffin at the right time seeing as the Griffin are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
