Basketball Game Preview: Freeman Flyers vs. Hanson Beavers

Freeman is 0-10 against Hanson since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Freeman Flyers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hanson Beavers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Freeman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

Last Thursday, Freeman beat Alcester-Hudson 80-72.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tate Sorensen, who went 11 for 15 en route to 29 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Sorensen a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Walter, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Freeman was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Hanson earned a 60-53 victory over Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Thursday. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Freeman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Hanson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
