Basketball Recap: St. Croix Central Comes Up Short

St. Croix Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Somerset Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-69 back in January.

St. Croix Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Somerset, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-11.

Coming up, St. Croix Central will head out to face off against Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Croix Central is facing Altoona at the right time seeing as Altoona is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Somerset, they will square off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerset knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Ellsworth likes a good challenge.
