Basketball Recap: Jordyn Bradley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Merritt Island

Rockledge won the last time they faced Merritt Island and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Rockledge Raiders' way against the Merritt Island Mustangs as the Rockledge Raiders made off with a 43-23 win.

Rockledge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Bradley out in front who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Bradley a new career-high in assists (four). Jazylle Bradley was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Rockledge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Merritt Island lost, don't look at Olivia Harris. Despite the final result, she put up five points. Harris is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Rockledge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for Merritt Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
