Softball Recap: Midland Park Has No Trouble Against Cresskill

Midland Park barely beat Cresskill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Cougars 16-5 on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Midland Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Cresskill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midland Park will challenge Lakeland Regional at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cresskill, they will take on Park Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
