Football Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

Spring Hill was the 56-46 winner over Dickson County when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell 24-17 to the Cougars on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Spring Hill lost, don't look at Lionel Brooks. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 57 yards.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dickson County, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Spring Hill and Battle Creek will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Dickson County, they will challenge Lawrence County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
