Monrovia entered their tilt with Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went their way against the Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders as they made off with a 67-43 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season.

Monrovia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emery Newlin out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, 12 assists, and nine steals. Those 12 assists gave Newlin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Daly, who went 6 of 7 en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Newlin wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Monrovia was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Scecina Memorial only racked up 11 assists.

Kaila Leath and Ainsley Brown certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Leath almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards, while Brown went 7 for 16 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Brown has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Journee Thomas also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Monrovia pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Monrovia and Indianapolis Scecina Memorial are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Monrovia will take on Park Tudor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monrovia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial has already played their next game (against Eastern Hancock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
