Softball Preview: Lafayette Commodores vs. Corinth Warriors        
        
		
            
 Lafayette is 0-4 against Corinth since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Lafayette Commodores will head out on the road to  take on  the Corinth Warriors at 5:30  p.m. Lafayette is coming into the  match hot, having won their last nine games.
 Lafayette is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Saturday. They came out on top against New Hope by a score of  6-2.
  Avery Lewis was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Corinth came tearing into  Saturday's  matchup with eight straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   9-6  victory over the Warriors.
  McKinley Moore was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Maddie Mills, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Lafayette pushed their record up to 25-9 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Corinth, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record  this season.
 Lafayette couldn't quite finish off Corinth in their previous matchup  back in March and fell  4-2. Can Lafayette avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
